With the vast amount of fitness and weight loss classes we have across our 22 leisure facilities, it can sometimes be hard to remember what each fitness class has to offer you.

20:20:20 A total body workout combining the moves of Body Attack, Body Pump and Abs.
50+ Exercise is specifically targeting the needs of the older adult in a fun and challenging workout which will boost cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength and endurance.
Abs is a short sharp class focusing on the muscles of the trunk, abdominals and lower back, building strength and stamina in those areas. Content and style of class may vary between instructors. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Aerobics is a combination of rhythmic exercises to music to improve cardiovascular fitness often combined with muscle conditioning exercises to shape and tone your body. Content and style of class may vary between instructors. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Aquafit is rhythmic exercise in shallow water to improve cardiovascular fitness combined with muscle conditioning exercises to shape and tone your body. The support provided to the body by water reduces the risk of muscle and/or joint injury. Content and style of class may vary between instructors. Suitable for all fitness levels.
AquaNatal is a gentle water based exercise class for post and ante natal mums to promote relaxation and wellbeing whilst improving cardiovascular fitness combined with some muscle conditioning exercises.
AquaZumba is a water-based fitness workout using all the fun and funky moves as Zumba with the impact removed. Come join the Pool Party. TM
Baby Yoga promotes wellbeing in baby as well as strengthening the spine, neck and encouraging development. Parents benefit from confidence in handling baby while strengthening their core. Both parent and baby will enjoy increased interaction and communication.
Body Attack is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Body Balance is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
Body Combat is the fiercely energetic cardio workout inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai.
Body Jam is a fusion of the latest dance styles and hottest new sounds and puts the emphasis as much on having fun as on breaking a sweat. So grab a friend, get front and centre, and get high on the feeling of dance.
Body Pump is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.
Body Step is an energizing workout that uses a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.
Body Vive is the low-impact, whole body group fitness workout that uses VIVE™ balls, VIVE™ tubes and body weight to boost fitness and core strength.
Breakdance Calling all Bboys and Bgirls. This is a fun dance class for kids learning basic breaker moves and putting them to your favourite R&B music.
Cardio 1 & 2 is a referral only class aimed at improving cardiovascular fitness combined with muscular strength and endurance exercises which make every day activities feel easier. Medical referral only.
Circuit Training is a full body athletic workout combining cardiovascular drills and strength done in time specific intervals. Using a combination of body weight exercises and equipment you will improve cardiovascular fitness as well as challenging all the major muscle groups for all round fitness gains. Club Circuit is a low to moderate intensity class using a combination of body weight exercises and equipment specifically focused on improving posture, balance and lower limb strength.

Fun, easy-to-follow dance fitness routines using rave glow sticks to club anthems from 90’s classics to the latest chart hits taught in a darkened room with disco lights.
Because of the high and low impact options Clubbercise dance fitness classes are great if you’re just starting out on a fitness regime or if you’re already a fitness freak!
Club Movers is a low to moderate intensity circuit workout specifically focused on improving cardiovascular fitness combined making every day activities feel easier.
Fitsteps is an energetic, upbeat dance class designed to achieve real, measurable fitness results. The dance workout mixes the graceful steps of Ballroom and the up-tempo steps of Latin dances to create fun-filled classes where you don't even realise you're getting fit! Transform your body and have fun dancing to music that will get your heart pumping!
Fun Stroller Fitness is an outdoor session where mum works out with baby in the buggy so they both enjoy the fun and fresh air. As well as power walking/jogging there is resourceful use of structures and space to include a muscular toning element.
HIIT is high intensity interval training that alternates periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. An excellent way to maximize a workout on limited time.
Indoor Cycling is high energy interval training on a modern stationery bike that is fully customizable to the user. You control the tension or resistance on the bike to suit your level of fitness and how challenging you want the workout. Content and style of class may vary between instructors.
Insanity is high intensity training (HIT) Equipment-free full body workout via non-stop strenuous stamina training. It incorporates plyometrics, strength & balance, agility & co-ordination, functional core work, and a stretch. Low impact options are available. Increases cardiovascular fitness, burning carbohydrates and fat more efficiently with a calorie burn lasting anywhere from 3 to 24 hours post workout.
Jog Scotland is a structured, progressive outdoor walk/jog programme. Caters for the complete beginner through to intermediate runners with individual goals set out along the way to help you meet your fitness aims.
Kettlercise is a series of athletic moves which burn fat and improve muscle tone and strength. Swing, clean and press your way to a leaner, more toned physique. One piece of equipment, One goal… and that’s fat liberation. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Line Dancing is a fun way to get fit and learn some new moves. Triple step, applejack and pivot turn your way to fitness with line dances set to upbeat music from past and present. Beginner and novice classes available.
LBT is a Legs Bums and Tums workout focused on strengthening and toning the abdominal area, buttocks, hips and thighs. Content and style of class may vary between instructors. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Military Fitness is an invigorating outdoor workout targeting all round fitness gains. Usually graded by ability - beginner, intermediate or advanced so you work at a level to challenge and progress your fitness. Suitable for all fitness levels.
P90X Live is a group focussed total body strength and cardio class that incorporates personal training and functional strength coaching. Classes are designed for all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced. Instructors work closely with participants to modify exercises, showing them progressions and regressions so everyone is challenged.
Pilates is a series of gentle core exercises done either seated or lying on a mat. These build flexibility, but also strength, endurance, and coordination of the whole body.
POUND Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels, POUND provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities
Power Chi Yoga takes your body through a series of challenging postures in standing, seated and lying to improve body awareness, flexibility, strength and muscle tone while focusing on breathing and mindful movement.
Power Hoop is a full body toning and shaping class using a weighted hoop. Content and style of class may vary between instructors. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Street Dance Evolving from the streets of America, this fun dance class for kids puts together popping, locking and hip-hop moves with a little bit of attitude to upbeat music.
Strength and Balance is a referral only class aimed at improving posture, strength and balance.
Swiss Ball uses a series of varied exercises where the body responds to the instability of the ball to remain balanced thus engaging more muscles, mainly the core. This class can improve muscle tone, strength and balance. Content and style of class may vary between instructors. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Tai Chi and Stretch is a blend of tai chi to balance the body’s energy flow giving a sense of calm and wellbeing and some gentle stretching to encourage the fullest range of motion around joints maintaining good mobility and muscle condition.
Urban Rebounding is performed entirely on a unique, high quality, spring-enhanced mini-trampoline with a non-slip surface. The programme uses familiar aerobic moves, sports specific conditioning moves and core stabilization techniques to ensure a full body workout. It provides a surprisingly challenging cardiovascular workout without excess stress on the heart, muscles and joints so is suitable for all fitness levels and ages. It is extremely good fun and puts smiles on faces!
Yoga takes your body through a series of postures in standing, seated and lying to improve body awareness, flexibility, strength, muscle tone while focusing on breathing and mindful movement. Generally followed by 10-15 minutes of meditation or relaxation.
Zumba is a dance-based fitness workout inspired by traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and merengue music, designed to burn fat and tone muscles. Ditch the workout, join the party. TM
ZumbAtomic is the crazy cool dance fitness workout for kids set to hip-hop, salsa, reggaeton and more. A Total Blast!! TM
Weigh to Go is a 10 week programme promoting healthy lifestyles in conjunction with NHS Lanarkshire. It consists of 45 minute nutritional information and 45 minutes of circuit style exercise. It is expected that both elements of the class will be undertaken by all participants as the class is suitable for all levels of fitness.
willPower & Grace is a unique full body cardio-sculpting barefoot workout. With the sweaty intensity of boot camp, the self awareness of yoga practice, the discipline of Pilates and the uplifting philosophy of a meditation session. Suitable for all fitness levels.
NB Class participants must be 12 years or over with the exception of Body Pump which is 14 years or over. For indoor cycling participants should be 12 years or over and at least 4ft 11in/150cm.
