Shiona is deaf and has had to adapt to the changes of the enviroment around her throughout her entire life. This was inspired by her, to show that deafness is not to be treated so much like a disbility, and to provoke a change of attitude and awareness towards people who are deaf.
Script based on Shiona McClafferty's essay on her hearing loss.
Filmed, Directed and Edited by Amy Urquhart.

Shiona McClafferty's Story

Shiona McClafferty's Story

A Sports Coach Academy student from Lanark Grammar School – Shiona McClafferty – has created a video with her friend Amy Urquhart.

She has produced this video to provoke a change of attitude towards people who are deaf.

They have a target to get over 3000 views – and once you watch it you will realise that this target will be achieved quickly. A fantastic and inspiring story.

Thank you.
