    2. Through songs and games water confidence is gained by both child and adult. Adults help the baby to enjoy the water and the stimulation if offers. As babies grow to toddlers they learn movement, balance, propulsion skills and breath control, ensuring that learning to swim is natural and seamless from early years on.

    3. These are fun filled arts courses designed to develop the creativity, skills and interests of young people aged 5-11 years in a broad range of visual art, craft and design activities.

    5. Skill development activities in running, jumping and throwing. The older age group, P6-7, work towards making the transition to the main club.

    6. A baby / toddler yoga class is a mutually rewarding class for both parent and child. The class works to promote a response of well-being in the child as well as strengthening their spine, neck and encouraging development. The parent will benefit from gaining confidence in handling their baby, strengthen their pelvic floor and core abdominal muscles, and both child and parent will benefit from increased interaction and communication.

    7. These sessions will introduce and develop basic badminton skills through fun activity, skills practice and game play. Participants will develop their fitness, hand to eye co-ordination, agility and racquet skill.

    16. This activity will cover basic hand to eye co-ordination, various movement patterns and the game of dodgeball extreme in teams.

    18. Covering a range of music styles, this is taught in small friendly groups and is great fun.

    19. Developing skills within the two disciplines (run,cycle). Fun based sessions along with all the fitness benefits.
      Note: all participants must bring their own bike and safety hat. Parents must ensure the bike is safe to use by their child.

    20. Includes a variety of activities.

    21. These structured football sessions will include a warm up, skill development practices, and small sided games to develop the participants' overall technical ability. This is also an ideal opportunity for players who are keen to get involved in a team sport and will help them progress to or with their school or local community football team.

    22. This activity introduces and strengthens the fundamental skills required for all sports. It concentrates on movement, hand to eye co-ordination, striking and racquet skills. It is a fun activity that incorporates modified games.

    24. Learn basic technique in a small group, make more progress than with a book or DVD, and have a lot more fun.

    25. These sessions will develop gymnastics skills incorporating floor work and apparatus and have been taken from the term-time syllabus giving the participants a snapshot of what is on offer throughout the term (badge work, competition element and display work).

    39. Swimming is an essential life skill which opens the door to many other aquatic activities such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, open water swimming, etc. ACE gives free leisure swimming access to South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's nine pools.
