Written by Leesa Harker
Starring Leah MacRae (“River City” “Gary: Tank Commander”)
After three sell-out Scottish tours and 10 separate sell-out runs in England, Ireland, and Australia, comes the return of smash hit comedy Fifty One Shades of Maggie. “River City” and “Gary: Tank Commander” star Leah MacRae, Scotland’s original and favourite “Maggie Muff” returns to the role.
The best selling send-up of 50 Shades of Grey tells the story of loveable Maggie and her search for love. Maggie is a working class girl who, like most women, has been let down by all the men in her life.
Attending an interview at the Social Security Office Maggie meets the handsome and hunky Mr Big! Will he turn out to be the man of her dreams, or will his “Private Room of Pain” put her off?
This hilarious play full of naughty bits will have you laughing out loud. Join Maggie and her friends on this (slightly filthy) journey of love, booze and whips! This is the perfect girly night out with your friends for the best night at the theatre you’ve had in ages……
Prepare for the funniest, sexiest (and maybe dirtiest) show you shall see this year.

Exhibition of work by Allison Smith
Allison immerses herself in the history and heritage of places and communities. What has gone before? What made communities thrive before technological advancement? Using paint to re-imagine how an area looks, she considers whether communities were closer, were people happier and less materialistic?
Whilst investigating woodlands and coastlines she contemplates our relationship with nature. In the busy modern world of today she poses the question to the viewer, 'does nature hold the key to our well-being in times of stress and disease?'
Conflicting with her love of the natural world is her interest in engineering and industry. This stems from her father's engineering background. Visits to Dalzell Steel Plant and Raeburn Brick have added to her deep respect in the ability to use nature and bend it to the will of mankind all the while being aware that the effects of this contrast with the environment and the natural world.
Allison graduated in 2017 with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Art Practice. Her first solo exhibition here at the East Kilbride Arts Centre consists of all these strands and uses the medium of paint to convey Mother Nature's power to envelop all that lies within her grasp.
Allison uses colour to express her own response to place, dependent on mood, weather and nature whilst juxtaposing work derived from engineering and industry.
