Facilities

Outdoor Learning and Adventure's service brings together the Outdoor resource base, James Hamilton Heritage park and the resources of the Country parks to create a unique and vibrant resource to support a wide range or exciting outdoor adventure programmes.

Outdoor Learning and Adventure operates two separate facilities; the James Hamilton Heritage Park and the Outdoor Resource Base.

James Hamilton Heritage Park

James Hamilton Heritage Park is our dedicated water sport centre which provides sailing, wind surfing, paddle boarding, canoeing and power boating courses and classes. We also provide birthday parties and a junior adventure club.

The facility itself has newly refurbished changing rooms, a cafe serving lunches, snacks and a children's play park.

Outdoor Resource Base

The Outdoor Resource Base is our training base and peripatetic centre supporting a wide range of outdoor learning for schools, community groups, social work and provides our school holiday programmes. Activities, both land and water based, are delivered at a wide range of venues and residential experiences can also be catered for.

The facility has three training rooms and ample storage for equipment and our fleet of minibuses.
