Young at Heart festival

Young at Heart festival

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s Arts Development team invite you to celebrate our Young at Heart festival! This year the festival runs from 9 - 23 March 2024.

Especially aimed at the 50+ age group, the Young at Heart festival aims to celebrate the arts as engaging and accessible for all.

We have a fabulous array of shows in cultural venues throughout the area, including Music Recitals and much more. There will also be stimulating exhibitions and an exciting range of participatory sessions giving you the chance to have a go at weaving and drama. If you are interested in the arts then this festival is for you. We are confident that you will find something in this unique programme which appeals!

If you have a South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture Activage Membership then look out for the special discounts throughout.

Places are limited for most events so advance booking is advisable!

Live Music Now - Free Recitals at 2

Live Music Now was founded by violinist Yehudi Menuhin. It offers emerging professional musicians, in a wide variety of genres, the opportunity to perform for audiences who normally may not have access to high quality live music. This includes people in special schools, care homes, day centres, hospices and prisons.

Since the scheme was founded in 1977, the charity has brought pleasure and inspiration to hundreds of thousands of people.  At the same time, it provides vital support and experience for some of the best of this country’s young musicians.

The 2024 Young at Heart Festival is bringing you six fabulous performances which will entertain you through a series of short recitals at 2:00pm.

Tickets are free but should be booked in advance via venue box offices.
