The Events

10K trail run
5K family trail run
Junior Duathlon (Tri Star Starts, TS1, 2 & 3)
Junior Lanimer Cup Races (50-800m for under 4-12 years old)

Start Times and Warm Ups

5K start time: 09:30 (Warm Up 09:15)
10K start time: 10:00 (Warm Up 09:45)

Junior Duo - tri star starts (ages 7-8) and tri stars 1 (ages 9-10): 12:10 approx
Junior Duo - tri stars 2 (ages 11-12) and tri stars 3 (ages 13-14): 12:20 approx

Junior Lanimer Cup Races : 12:45 approx
50m - Toddler dash, under 4s
100m - Ages 4-6
200m - Ages 7-8
400m - Ages 9-10
800m - Ages 11-12

Entry Fees

10K trail run - £17.00
5K trail run - £15.00 adult, £12.00 junior
Junior Duo (all age groups) - £12.00

Junior Lanimer Cup Races - FREE. To register for this event contact Lanark Lifestyles directly on 01555 666800 - race numbers for this event are collected on the day of event at the Racecourse.

Registration / Entry Packs

Packs (including chipped race number & race tech t-shirt) will be available from 1st July 2017.
Runners will have 3 options:
1. Packs can be posted at an additional charge of £1.50 if you register before Tuesday 1st August.
2. Packs can be collected from the reception at Lanark Lifestyles up to Friday 4th August.
3. Collect on race day from 08:00

Online Registration / Late Entry Fees

Online registration closes Thursday 3rd August.
If spaces allow, participants can register on the day for £20 (flat fee for all events/age groups).

Course Details

The 5K & 10K Course

The 5K course will start at Lanark Racecourse and head down towards Lanark Loch. From here runners will run a full loop of the loch then head back up towards the racecourse, before entering the racecourse runners will turn into the woods/cycle path for 3/4 of this route before re-joining the racecourse for a final lap.

The 10K route is a challenging double circuit of the 5K.
Please note that the 10k no longer comes out onto the roads of Whitelees/Symllum.

Course surfaces: Lanark loch - red gravel, Lanark racecourse - grass, woods/cycle route - trail

Junior Duo

Our junior duathlon has grown again! For 2017 we will be splitting the juniors into the official triathlon Scotland age groups:
Tri Star starts (8 years)
Tri Stars 1 (9-10 years)
Tri Stars 2 (11-12 years)
Tri Stars 3 (13-14 years)
All age groups will use the racecourse for the run sections and then the wooded cycle route for a truly off-road experience! (off road bikes and helmets are essential)

Junior Lanimer Cup Races

All on flat ground on the Racecourse just outside the pitches/rugby club house.

Participant Gifts

At the end of the events, participants will receive their medals and finishers bags which will include an energy bar, bottle of water & other goodies. Junior Lanimer Cup runners will receive a small momento.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for:
10K event - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female. The first placed male and female will be awarded the Edinburgh-Lanimer Cup and the Glasgow-Lanimer Cup.
5K event - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male & Female
Junior Duo (all 4 categories) – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Girl & Boy
800m children's race - 1st male & female will be awarded the Junior Lanimer Cups.

Toilets/Changing Facilities

Toilets, changing & shower facilities are available within the football hut, with additional portable toilets available at the side.

Bag Storage

Storage tags will be available from registration on the day.

Parking

Car parking facilities are available at the racecourse, the Loch and at Lanark Auction Market.

Water stations/Refreshments

There will be water stations around the course and every competitor will receive a bottle of water at the finish.

There will be a catering company on site throughout the event.

Additional Activities

Local sport clubs and SLLC co-ordinators will be running taster activities throughout the event.

In addition to this there will be bouncy castles and mini trampolines, weather permitting.
