Celebrate our Golden year with us with Bronze Age Live!, Autumn Equinox Adventure and much more.

It’s been 50 years since Low Parks Museum opened its doors back in November 1967. To celebrate our Golden Year we have planned a series of events to capture your imagination. Our Golden Year celebrations began with events starting in July and continuing through to November.

Science in the Museum - Autumn Equinox Adventure - Stargazing, Weather Watching, Solstice Craft

Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd
11.00am – 3.30pm
£3.10 per person, ACE members are free

This September our holiday weekend falls on the autumn solstice. Throughout the day we have a variety of activities to try out. Learn more about the stars this autumn in our mini stargazing taster shows with The Space Time Dome, try our Weather Eye Station and join us in our solstice craft activities. All this and much, much more.

The Planetarium Experience (show times to be confirmed)
Brought to you by the University of Glasgow, School of Physics and Astronomy, the Space Time Dome brings the excitement of the planetarium to Low Parks Museum.
Free activity, suitable for age 4yrs to 104yrs! All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Spaces are limited, details on how to book this event will be published at the end of August.

Weather Eye Station
Learn how to make weather observations and make your own live weather report from our weather station directly to the Met Office.
Free activity suitable for age 6yrs upwards.

Autumn Solstice Craft
Create your very own solstice craft in our workshop.
11.00am to 3.30pm
£3.10 per person activity suitable for age 5yrs upwards.
