South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture SCIO is a new, modern and forward thinking charitable trust with the aim of providing facilities for recreation, sport and cultural pursuits which are of maximum benefit to all members of the community.

SLLC was formed on 1 October 2010 when much of South Lanarkshire Councils (SLC) cultural services, libraries and facilities were transferred to the Leisure Trust which had previously been formed in April 2002. The SCIO’s vision is for “healthier, happier, more connected lives” and employs around 1200 staff in various roles that are integral to making this happen.

What type of roles do we have?

We offer a wide variety of roles within SLLC ranging from Pool Lifeguard, Fitness Assistant, Children’s Assistant, Libraries Assistant, Venue Assistant and Hallkeeper to Golf Course Starter, Golf Course Ranger, Receptionist, Duty Officer, Outdoor Activity Instructors, Development Officer and Manager in various roles.

Training to work in the leisure industry
