The witch and her cat are flying happily along on their broomstick when a stormy wind blows the witch’s hat, bow and wand away into the night.
With the help of a daft dog, a beautiful bird and a friendly frog, her belongings are retrieved. But this broomstick’s not meant for five and – CRACK! - it snaps in two! When a hungry dragon appears, who will save the poor witch? And will there ever be room on the broom for everyone?

Hamilton Mausoleum is the town’s most striking historic landmark. This fascinating monument was built by Alexander, 10th Duke of Hamilton, as his final resting place. The building is impressive on the outside, but, book one of the tours offered by Museum staff, and you will see just how breath-taking it is, with its massive dome, magnificent bronze doors, marble floors, and eerily atmospheric crypt – to say nothing of the world famous echo!
Tours are available on the first and third Sunday of each month from February to November at 12.00pm and 2.00pm. Tours must be booked at least 2 days in advance.
Tickets for the 12.00pm tour cost £6.50 and £4.20 for concessions available from Low Parks Museum reception. Present your ticket at the Mezzanine Cafe at Low Parks Museum for a complimentary bowl of soup or a hot drink and a cake.
Tickets for the 2.00pm tour cost £3.60 and £2.10 for concessions available from Low Parks Museum reception.
Please note that Hamilton Mausoleum is not wheelchair accessible and is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. We advise visitors to wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear when visiting Hamilton Mausoleum.

Rapture, Scotland’s premier touring theatre company presents Rapture Bites - The Twelve-Pound Look by JM Barrie (1910)

Rapture presents a scintillating one-act satire penned by the Scottish scribe of Peter Pan and What Every Woman Knows. Harry Sims is about to receive a knighthood for his services to business and the “art” of making money. His dutiful wife has enlisted the services of a typist, to respond to the many letters of congratulations Harry has received. But Harry is in for a shock, as a “ghost” from his past is about to visit….
Join us, for JM Barrie’s insightful play, with its themes of male pride, female solidarity and the perils associated with failing to recognise the “twelve-pound look”….
