Alexander, 10th Duke of Hamilton was an avid collector of everything from fine art, paintings, sculptures and books. Amongst his collection were two Ancient Egyptian Sarcophagi. Join us for an insightful evening with Professor Aidan Dodson from Bristol University, who will tell us about the two wonderful objects.

Get creative in our fortnightly Lego Club. We have everything from Duplo to Architecture Kits, so come along and take part in our fabulous Lego Club. You can join in themed builds as a group or perfect your own creations.

Suitable for age 3yrs upwards.  £3.25 per child, ACE members and accompanying adults are FREE.

The producers of Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music and Sing-a-Long-a Grease bring you their latest interactive film. The brand new singalonga screening of the classic film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

It’s the Summer of 1963, it’s college boys versus dancing hunks, it’s one of the best loved movies of all time and, yes, there is a guy as great as your dad.

Join Baby and Johnny in a fun-filled screening of the1987 dance classic film where YOU are the stars of the show. Our host, will lead a vocal warm up, show you how to use your free interactive prop bag and have you dancing really dirty…..

Mausoleum tour

Hamilton Mausoleum tours

 

Hamilton Mausoleum is the town’s most striking historic landmark. This fascinating monument was built by Alexander, 10th Duke of Hamilton, as his final resting place. The building is impressive, book one of our tours and you will see just how breath-taking it is, with its massive dome, magnificent bronze doors, marble floors, and eerily atmospheric crypt – to say nothing of the world-famous echo!

Tours are available on the first and third Sunday of each month from February to November at and 2:00pm. Tours must be booked at least two days in advance.

Tickets for the tour cost £5.00 and £3.50 (concessions) available from Low Parks Museum reception.  

New for 2022, we are introducing our Lunch package which includes our soup and sandwich deal (which will be served prior to your tour) in our café and a tour of Hamilton Mausoleum.

Tickets are £10.00 and £8.50 (concessions) and are available from Low Parks Museum reception. Please present your ticket in the Mezzanine Café for your lunch. Please note the Mezzanine Café opens at 12:00 noon. Tickets valid for tour day only, are available from Low Parks Museum reception.

Please note that Hamilton Mausoleum is not wheelchair accessible and is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. We advise visitors to wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear when visiting.
