Dirty Harry

Dirty Harry captures the rapture of Blondie and has not only the original sound, feel, attitude, and full back catalogue of the band but a look- a- like of Debbie.

Dr Sarah Kennedy is stunning as Ms Harry, backed by a group of Scotland's finest musicians.

Dirty Harry have featured in BBC’s ‘Viva Variety’, played at many great venues and festivals, including Party At The Palace, Rewind, Belladrum and have supported The Bay City Rollers in their comeback tours.

A 1940’s radio tale of hot dames, gangsters and hardboiled detectives.

It’s a dark, wet night in downtown Hamilton - the city of neon lights, clip joints, cool jazz, Burnbank and murder - as Doll Face takes the midnight train to Ferniegair.

Could private eye, Tam Blade, be the next John Doe on a slab with a label tied to his big toe?

Tam knew from the moment they met that it was going to be….. murder

East Kilbride Arts Centre @ 25 - Created to Create

East Kilbride Arts Centre is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year. The Arts Centre opened its doors for the first time on 26 May 1994. Since then it has provided a creative outlet for many throughout the community. The Arts Centre is the hub of creativity in East Kilbride.

The objective from the East Kilbride Arts Council back in 1989, according to their draft proposal, was to "provide a focal point for cultural activity in the district and give all standards of performer and participant the opportunity to learn, practise their skills and share experiences". Subsequently the Arts Centre has embraced these opportunities and strives to continue to do so.

Prior to the Centre as we know it, the building was known as Bosfield House. In the past it has been used as a private dwelling, offices for the former Town Council, a Nursery School and as an Unemployed Workers Centre. In 1978 the upper two floors were converted to a Community Hall and in 1987 the ground floor was given over to the storage of library books pending the completion of the Central Library in the Olympia Shopping Centre.

The History of Bosfield dates back many years and was first mentioned in 1416.

The exhibition explores just some of the events and activities throughout the years and celebrates the diversity of these programmes.

Hamilton Mausoleum Tours

Hamilton Mausoleum is the town’s most striking historic landmark. This fascinating monument was built by Alexander, 10th Duke of Hamilton, as his final resting place. The building is impressive on the outside, but, book one of the tours offered by Museum staff, and you will see just how breath-taking it is, with its massive dome, magnificent bronze doors, marble floors, and eerily atmospheric crypt – to say nothing of the world famous echo!

Tours are available on the first and third Sunday of each month from February to November at 12.00pm and 2.00pm. Tours must be booked at least 2 days in advance.

Tickets for the 12.00pm tour cost £6.50 and £4.20 for concessions available from Low Parks Museum reception. Present your ticket at the Mezzanine Cafe at Low Parks Museum for a complimentary bowl of soup or a hot drink and a cake.

Tickets for the 2.00pm tour cost £3.60 and £2.10 for concessions available from Low Parks Museum reception.

Please note that Hamilton Mausoleum is not wheelchair accessible and is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. We advise visitors to wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear when visiting Hamilton Mausoleum.

Visits to Hamilton Mausoleum can be arranged out with the programmed tours for groups with a minimum of 10 people. Please contact Low Parks Museum at or or call 01698 452382 to arrange a tour.
