Outdoor adventure programme

ORB Summer Programme 2024

This year we will be offering some new outdoor activity programmes alongside our popular multi-activity programme.

The prices for all programmes are the same, though ages vary for some programmes.

Drop-off and pick-up for all programmes is at the Outdoor Resource Base, 33 Fullwood Industrial Estate, Hamilton, ML3 9AZ.

Participants can be dropped off from 8:30am with activities starting at 9:00am.

Activities finish at 4:00pm, but participants can be picked up as late as 4:30pm.

Multi-activity week

Age: 8 – 15 years

An opportunity to try a range of outdoor adventure activities at venues across central Scotland, including bushcraft, paddleboarding, kayaking, biking, climbing and gorge walking.

Mountain bike week

Age: 10 – 16 years

Build and improve confidence, riding skills and mountain bike techniques for young riders looking to enhance their mountain biking experience.

Delivered at a variety of venues of man-made and natural terrains.

All participants should be confident riding a bike and be fit enough to ride for around four hours (up and down hills).

Wet and Wild week

Age: 10 – 16 years

Covering a variety of different paddle sports craft, as well as gorge walking, and a river trip down the River Tay in Duckies (whitewater specific inflatable kayaks).

Climb and gorge Week

Age: 10 – 16 years

A mixture of climbing, abseiling and gorge walking, with the aim of developing skills and confidence, building up to abseiling down a waterfall.


Activities can be booked by calling either the James Hamilton Heritage Park (01355 276611) or Hamilton Palace Sports Ground (01698 424101).
