Standing outside the entrance to Low Parks Museum is a simple, bronze memorial plaque on a polished granite plinth that bears the words “The Dutch Don’t Forget”. The plaque was presented to veterans of the 52nd (Lowland) Division, a Scottish, Territorial Army formation that played a vital part in the liberation of the Netherlands in the final stages of the Second World War. The message is simple, the Dutch will never forget the sacrifices made by the men of the 52nd (Lowland) Division in freeing them from Nazi oppression.
Two battalions of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) proudly fought in the Dutch campaign in the Second World War. The 6th Battalion, historically covering the county of Lanarkshire, and the 7th Battalion, drawn mainly from the south side of the city of Glasgow.
This commemorative exhibition highlights the part played by these two battalions, as part of the 52nd (Lowland) Division, in this pivotal stage of the Second World War.

Welcome to East Kilbride Camera Club 2025 Photograph Exhibition. Our exhibition comprises of favorite images from each of our members and those of our winners from this season’s club competitions.
EKCC was founded in the 1950s and we aim to keep it going for many years to come. We are a group of photographers from various backgrounds, with differing levels of photographic experience, knowledge, ability and skill but all are passionate about photography. EKCC is a place where like-minded people can meet and chat about all things photography related.
We meet during our club season (September to April) every Monday evening in East Kilbride Sports Club at Calderglen Park at 7.30pm and schedule events throughout the summer.
We are a very friendly club so please don’t feel intimidated and get in touch with us if you are thinking of joining, as a beginner, a novice or an expert. Our club will give you the support and opportunities you need to help you develop your photography skills. New friends and members are always welcome to come along to join in. The first few nights are free to allow you to settle in and decide if you wish to join us.
A huge thank you to all of our members for their submissions and also to our sponsor John Wilson Photography for printing and mounting all the exhibition images.
