East Kilbride Ice Rink Reopening for Patch Ice Sessions

East Kilbride Ice rink are thrilled to be welcoming back some of its customers for patch ice sessions from 14 September 2020. Our staff and customer’s health and safety is our main priority and we would therefore ask all persons who are attending these sessions to follow the guidance below:

General

  • Only attend if you are fit and healthy
  • Only attend if you and anyone in your household are not showing any COVID-19 symptoms
  • Clean and cover wounds
  • Maintain good hygiene – clean hands, avoid touching face, cover coughs and sneezes
  • Wear a face covering in all off-ice areas if you are aged 11 or over
  • Maintain 2m social distancing at all times on and off the ice
  • Abide by all directional signage.

Session Booking

  • Any patch session booked must be prearranged with the relevant coach
  • Bookings and payments should be made online or by phoning 01355 223498 during designated booking days and times - Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 3pm
  • No bookings/payments will be taken at site
  • Bookings cannot be booked and paid more than 7 days in advance
  • Bookings must be booked and paid no later than 4pm the day before the session takes place
  • Bookings should, where possible, be managed online. SLL’s 4 hour cancellation policy will apply

Arrival

  • Please come skate ready as no changing facilities will be available
  • Please arrive 5 minutes before your lesson starts
  • Participants should queue at the top of the stairs until instructed to enter the rink
  • Participant’s names will then be confirmed against the facility booking register by a member of staff. This is for track and trace purposes
  • If you have not pre booked and paid and are therefore not on the register you will be refused entry
  • Only bring water bottles, skate guards and a mask (over 11’s) into the rink – no other personal belongings
  • Toilet facilities will be available for participants only, on a strict ‘one in one’ out basis

During each patch session

  • Adhere to the coach’s instructions and guidelines
  • Leave water bottle/skate guards/mask with your coach in their coach’s area

At the end of each patch session

  • Collect water bottle/skate guards/mask
  • Leave the ice promptly
  • Adhere to directional and social distance signage

There will be a phased return to reopening the rink for other activities and we will keep customers informed of dates when these sessions become available.

We thank all our customers for their patience, support and understanding while we gradually and safely reopen our facilities.
