The Bookends Theatre Group present the 1940’s Radio Hour: It Happened One Night.

Lunch: soup, sandwiches, tea/coffee served at 12:30pm, performance at 1:15pm.

Afternoon tea: sandwiches, cakes, tea/coffee served at 2:45pm, performance at 3:30pm.

Spoiled New York heiress Ellie Andrews jumps ship from her father’s yacht in Miami and is on the run back to New York to marry her handsome fiancé.

She meets up with cynical newspaper reporter Peter Warne, who offers to help reunite her with her fiancé…in exchange for an exclusive story.

But during their travels, the reporter finds himself falling for the feisty young heiress.

Opposites attract in Frank Capra’s acclaimed romantic comedy.
