Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off
Vertigo Theatre presents Mary Queen of Scots Got her Head Chopped Off by Liz Lochead.
Two queens. Two kingdoms. One familiar tale of bloodshed and conflict.
Travel back to 16th-century Britain to explore the lives of Mary, Queen of Scots, and her cousin Elizabeth I of England - two powerful women connected by blood but divided by ambition. In Scotland, Mary struggles between love and duty, while facing manipulation from all sides. In England, Elizabeth uses cunning and ruthlessness to hold onto her crown. Told with sharp wit and insight, their stories race toward a dramatic and inevitable clash. After all, only one may reign.
Vertigo Theatre is a group for young people and young adults, run by a committee of young people.
