Pool closure at Blantyre

Blantyre Leisure Centre is unfortunately impacted by issues caused by a failing external gas meter. We are therefore disappointed to share, as a result of no heating in the centre, the pool will be closed today and tomorrow due to low temperatures.

Swimming lesson customers will be contacted by telephone today to inform them of the closure, and arrangements will be made for the missed lessons later in the year. Please make sure your contact details are up to date with our reception team.

Blantyre’s gym is currently open and will be kept operational for as long as possible while there is hot water available.

We want to reassure customers that these issues are unrelated to the recent improvement works which we were delighted to complete. It is unfortunate the gas meter has failed so soon after our reopening and is a matter which is unforeseen and out with our control.

We are liaising with external agencies to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and will keep you informed of updates when we know more.
