Blantyre Library is Moving

Blantyre Library closed its doors on Saturday, 30th August 2025 as we prepared to relocate to our newly refurbished library within Blantyre Leisure Centre, which opens in September 2025.

We’re excited to welcome you to a modern, refreshed space that brings together library services and leisure facilities in one convenient location.

Please note: Any books currently on loan can be returned to any library across South Lanarkshire, so feel free to drop them off wherever is most convenient for you.

Please note: The nearest alternative library is Rutherglen library which does not close over lunchtime and is open until 8pm on Thursday evenings.
