Community and school halls consultation 2025/26
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) has launched a public consultation which seeks feedback on the use and capacity of our indoor lettable community and school spaces, along with a proposed pricing structure designed to better reflect the operational costs needed to sustain them. Please note that this consultation does not include pitches.
We recognise the vital contribution community and school halls make towards our vision for healthier, happier, more connected lives by bringing people together, improving health and wellbeing, and strengthening community ties.
We have unfortunately withdrawn from 42 halls in recent years. In order to help prevent further withdrawals in our localities, our current pricing model needs to change to one that is more financially sustainable.
All are welcome to share their views through our ‘Sustaining the future of local community and school halls’ survey, available to complete online at https://forms.office.com/e/ZHFUQ7j2PQ.
Paper copies are also available to download here. Submissions can be posted via the instructions contained at the beginning of the document.
The survey will close at 11.45pm on Sunday 26 October 2025. Any paper submissions received to our PO Box after this date will not be included.
This is one part of our wider consultation process. We will soon invite customers to engage with us further at a drop-in event to be scheduled later this year. Details will be made available in due course on this webpage and promoted on our social media pages.
If you have any questions about the halls consultation process, please contact: Kirsty Rodger at kirsty.rodger@southlanarkshireleisure.co.uk.
