Young at Heart Festival
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture’s Arts Development team invite you to celebrate our Young at Heart festival!
Especially aimed at the 50+ age group, the Young at Heart festival, running from 19 February - 7 March 2026, aims to celebrate the arts as engaging and accessible for all.
Places are limited for most events so advance booking is advisable!
Live Music Now - Free Recitals at 2
Founded by violinist Yehudi Menuhin, Live Music Now offers opportunities for emerging professional musicians, in a wide variety of genres, to perform for audiences who would not normally have access to high quality live music.
Tickets are free but should be booked in advance via venue box offices.
How to book
Check out the Young at Heart shows and activities in the ‘What’s on Where’ drop down menu in our website Events section. You can check what’s on at a specific venue from the list of venues. A brief ‘Timetable at a Glance’ is provided below.
Places are limited therefore advanced booking is recommended for all events running as part of the Young at Heart festival. Individual and group bookings are welcomed.
To enrol on any of the Courses or Workshops please contact the relevant venue to book your space and make the necessary payment.

Our Artists
We have some very talented artists who deliver our weekly classes and courses programme. We want to highlight their experience and talents and are focussing on our drawing and painting tutors. You can check out information on each artist on Facebook. Each artist has a different style and teaching method therefore can bring new ways to learn. You can book a lesson with them in the various locations.
