Sponsor an Animal at Calderglen Zoo

With our Animal Sponsorship Programme, you can support the daily care, food, enrichment, and habitat maintenance for some of the zoo’s most loved residents.

By sponsoring an animal, you’ll be making a meaningful contribution to their wellbeing while helping us continue our work in conservation, education and wildlife care.

It also makes a unique gift for animal lovers of all ages!

How Sponsorship Works

• Choose the animal you would like to sponsor.
• Complete the online enquiry form.
• An email with instructions of how to make payment and where to collect your sponsorship gift will be sent within 72 hours.
• You will receive sponsorship confirmation after payment is taken and updates about your chosen animal throughout the 12 months of sponsorship.

Animals You Can Sponsor

Rabbits and Guinea Pigs

Our rabbits and guinea pigs are curious, playful and full of personality. Sponsoring them helps provide fresh food, bedding, and enrichment toys that keep them happy and active. Perfect for younger animal lovers who adore these gentle, fluffy friends!

South American Coatis

Coatis are intelligent and energetic members of the raccoon family, known for their long noses and who live in social groups. Your sponsorship helps us provide enrichment activities that encourage natural behaviours such as foraging and climbing.

Meerkats

Always alert and endlessly entertaining, our meerkats are famous for standing watch and working together as a family group. Sponsoring them helps fund enrichment, habitat maintenance and continuing with their specialised diet.

Striped Skunk

Despite their reputation, skunks are gentle and fascinating animals with endearing personalities. Sponsorship helps support our skunk’s care, diet and enrichment within her specially designed habitat.

Red-Footed Tortoise

Our red footed tortoise may be easy-going, but she does still require a specialised diet and carefully managed habitat. Sponsorship helps us provide the correct nutrition and environment she needs to thrive.

We offer three levels of sponsorship so you can support your chosen animal in a way that suits you.

Bronze Sponsorship – £30

Perfect for showing your support and helping care for your chosen animal.

Includes:

• Sponsorship certificate
• Thank you letter from your chosen animal
• 1 x free entry to Calderglen zoo
• Name engraved on sponsor board at animal enclosure

Silver Sponsorship – £50

A great option for animal lovers who want to provide additional support.

Includes:

• Sponsorship certificate
• Thank you letter from your chosen animal
• 1 x free entry to Calderglen zoo
• Name engraved on sponsor board at animal enclosure
• A small, cuddly toy of your sponsored animal
• Animal activity sheet

Gold Sponsorship – £70

Our premium sponsorship package for those who want to make an even bigger difference.

Includes:

• Sponsorship certificate
• Thank you letter from your chosen animal
• 1 x free entry to Calderglen zoo
• Name engraved on sponsor board at animal enclosure
• A small, cuddly toy of your sponsored animal
• Animal activity sheet
• A 45-minute animal experience at the zoo for a maximum of two people (please note the animal experience is only suitable for children ages 6+ and involves participants shadowing a keeper during breakfast rounds, feeding up to four species of animal)
