Culture Strategy: 2026 – 2029
The Culture Strategy project launched in March this year, with an £800,000 funding investment from South Lanarkshire council.
The project will be delivered by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) until April 2029, and aims to support local, community-led activities and events that will celebrate and share the heritage, local history, arts and culture of places across South Lanarkshire.
Over the next three years there will be opportunities for communities to get involved through consultations, funded grants and community initiatives.
Part of this funding will also support the development of a place-based Culture Strategy for South Lanarkshire, recognising the important role that libraries, museums and other cultural spaces play in our communities.
We want to hear what culture means to you as residents and communities of South Lanarkshire, with your contributions helping to shape the Culture Strategy and the future of culture across South Lanarkshire.
Find out more on our Culture Strategy webpages, which we will be keeping up to date with project information.
