The Cat's Meow 2-5 September 2026 7:30pm, Saturday matinee 3:00pm £16.00 / £13.00 (subject to £1.50 transaction fee) Village Theatre East Kilbride
EK Repertory Theatre Club presents The Cat’s Meow by Steven Peros.
“Welcome to Hollywood – A land just off the coast of the Planet Earth”
In November 1924, a mysterious Hollywood death occurred aboard The Oneida, media mogul William Randolph Hearst's yacht. Among the famous guests attending that weekend were film star Charlie Chaplin and Hearst’s mistress, starlet Marion Davies.
The Cat's Meow imagines the worst as everyone cavorts through an oceanic orgy of intrigue, seduction, infidelity, blackmail, booze, drugs and murder! A fascinating cross section of Jazz Era characters who intersect for one notorious decadent weekend!
A sharply written, darkly comic morality play. Laced with clandestine romance, steadily growing tensions and Hollywood excess which erupt in a shocking act of violence!
Season Ticket for September, March and June Productions by EK Rep £45/Concession £36 see ek-rep.org.uk for details.
Available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.
