Home, I'm Darling

Studio32 Theatre Company present Home, I’m Darling, by Laura Wade.

Judy is perfectly happy. She has the perfect home, a ridiculously happy marriage and only last week picked up the most wonderful frilly apron to match her newly styled kitchenette. She is living the life of a quintessential 1950s housewife, and she couldn’t be more content. But – are things really that perfect? Can you really live the 50s dream in the 21st century?

Studio32 presents what is destined to be the Scottish amateur premiere of Home, I’m Darling by Laura Wade – a stylish, witty romp through gingham, cocktails, and perfectly polished domestic bliss – until the cracks start to show. It’s a sharp, fun twist on 1950s nostalgia where vintage ideals clash with modern life.

From the theatre company who brought you Calendar Girls and Steel Magnolias, don’t delay – snap up your tickets today!

Available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.

Cost: £15.00 / £13.50 concession (subject to £1.50 transaction fee)

Western Division One Act Play Finals

SCDA Western Division presents Western Division One Act Play Finals.

During the dark winter months, member clubs of the Scottish Community Drama Association learn lines, rehearse, paint scenery and make costumes, working together to present their chosen play as part of a national competition.  Competing firstly in their local area, the winners of that competition progress to a “Divisional” competition and this year we are excited to be at the East Kilbride Arts Centre for the first time.

You’ll be treated to 8 varied performances from the Teams, presenting a mixture of comedy and drama, and whilst are amateur, the standard of productions match many a professional performance and we look forward to welcoming you.

Available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.

Cost: £14.00 / £39.00 for all 3 nights (subject to £1.50 transaction fee)
