We have over 150,000 objects in our collections and it is impossible to display them all at once. Long periods of exposure to light and pollution can also badly damage some objects and so we only display them on limited occasions in order to protect them. Our exhibitions programme allows us to display more objects. Our ongoing project of digitising our collections and making them available on this website is another way for you to enjoy more of our collection.
