Shiona is deaf and has had to adapt to the changes of the enviroment around her throughout her entire life. This was inspired by her, to show that deafness is not to be treated so much like a disbility, and to provoke a change of attitude and awareness towards people who are deaf.
Script based on Shiona McClafferty's essay on her hearing loss.
Filmed, Directed and Edited by Amy Urquhart.

Online collection

Our online collection currently has over 13,500 object records, this represents around 10% of the museum collection of South Lanarkshire Council.

Every year we continue to digitise the collection and add more records online to make the collection as accessible as possible.

In the last year we have added the vast and internationally significant stage costume collection of Harry Lauder, we have also added a number of First World War related items to coincide with the centenary period.

Please refer to our User Terms and Conditions from Related downloads below.

I have read and agree with the Terms and conditions of using the online collection.
