Two Security guards make a very difficult decision to Rob their boss, who happens to be one of the most notorious gangsters in Glasgow. A very funny and poignant play that looks at the fragility of life and the insecurities faced when a family man is struck with the temptation to recover his family life when presented with a monetary situation that could solve a recent debt crisis that has been sprung upon him, but at what cost?
A middle aged brother and sister separated by a generation reconnect and bond overnight on the run up to their mother's funeral. My Wife fell in love with a cardboard cut out of Ronan Keating 26 - 29 June 2024 7:30pm £15.00 / £12.50 East Kilbride Arts Centre
The latest play from PT Rose. Adapted by Stuart Falconer.
The story of this play is about misplaced loyalty, the fallacy of shallow celebrity culture and the dangers of delusion.
It centres on four female characters all the same family. Daughter, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and it explores in a humorous but in-depth way the change in cultural attitudes and people’s ideas and idolisms through the generations.
Throw in a Clown for a husband and a sprinkling of Elvis and laugh and cry as this dysfunctional or normal family struggle to keep the family unit together in this sometimes ultra-modern or snowflake society!
Age Rating - 14 plus.
Available to book online or by calling East Kilbride Arts Centre on 01355 261000.
