Shiona is deaf and has had to adapt to the changes of the enviroment around her throughout her entire life. This was inspired by her, to show that deafness is not to be treated so much like a disbility, and to provoke a change of attitude and awareness towards people who are deaf.

Sports halls

Carluke Leisure Centre has a large sports hall (approximately 519m square). The markings in our hall cater for three badminton courts, basketball, five-a-side football, netball and volleyball. Our sports hall is also used for sports events, sports coaching classes and block bookings for club use. Table tennis can be accommodated in this hall.

Sports hall 2 is approximately 178m square. The markings in this hall cater for one badminton court, netball and mini netball. This hall has a wooden sprung floor and is also used for gymnastics, fitness classes, sports coaching classes and blocks bookings for martial arts, dance classes and more. This hall cans also accommodate table tennis.

The dance studio is approximately 157m square and can accommodate spin classes, fitness classes and other leisure activities like martial arts and dance classes.

The multi-purpose room is approximately is 51m square and can accommodate dance mats classes and meetings.

There is a small meeting room that can hold meetings for approximately ten people. The room is approximately 16m square. The area is equipped with data points for computer presentations.
