Lanark Library
Lanark Library is located on Hope Street, off Lanark High Street, a short distance from the Sheriff Court and a few minutes walk from the main shopping area.
The library provides a selection of adult fiction and non-fiction books, photocopier, DVDs, newspapers, children's library and children's events.
The reference library has an extensive local history collection and contains the William Smellie Collection of medical textbooks.
The library has an activeIT learning centre with 10 PCs for public use and a refreshment machine. There are an additional 2 PCs in the reference library.
The activeIT centre is LearnDirect Scotland accredited and offers free internet and wi-fi access and a range of training materials. The library is also the administrative base for the mobile library service.

Bookbug
Bookbug is a national programme that encourages parents to enjoy books with their children from an early age. Bookbug sessions for children from 0 to 3 run in every library.
