Private, Peaceful 12-15 November 2025 7:30pm £16.00 (subject to £1.50 transaction fee) East Kilbride Arts Centre
New Victory Players present Private, Peaceful.
The book was written by Michael Morpurgo (author of "War Horse") and adapted for stage by Simon Reade. "Private Peaceful" is a story of courage, devotion, and sibling rivalry.
The Peaceful brothers Tommo and Charlie have a tough, rural childhood. After the death of their father, the boys with the rest of the family not only suffer financial hardship but are also at the mercy of a cruel landlord. Their fierce loyalty for each other pulls them through, until one day they fall for the same girl.
Then the Great War arrives.
