Shiona is deaf and has had to adapt to the changes of the enviroment around her throughout her entire life. This was inspired by her, to show that deafness is not to be treated so much like a disbility, and to provoke a change of attitude and awareness towards people who are deaf.
Script based on Shiona McClafferty's essay on her hearing loss.
Filmed, Directed and Edited by Amy Urquhart.

Sport and physical activity

Welcome to South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's Sport and physical activity services.  This department of the organisation focuses on the programming and development of sports and physical activity opportunities across South Lanarkshire.

The staff within the department work with facility staff, professional bodies (for example: the S.F.A. and Sportscotland) and a number of partners like the N.H.S., social work or individual sports clubs to plan, deliver and monitor day to day courses and classes, events and projects for all residents of the South Lanarkshire community.
